Habitat Description: Tropical montane wet forest.
Botanical Data
Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb, 1 m tall. Stems erect and succulent. Abaxial leaf surface green witih red veins. Bracts enclosing immature flowers and then falling off at anthesis. Calyx lobes green with red venation; slightly cucullate. Corolla tubular; yellow with red lobes; pouch on lower surface. Nectary a bilobed gland on lower surface.
