Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb, 40-60 cm tall. Abaxial leaf surface dark red to light green. Calyx lobes red. Immature capsule yellowish-red. Mature capsule with reflexed valves and tardily dehiscent endocarps. Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US).
