Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb, 40-50 cm tall. Stems unbranched. Abaxial leaf surface dark red; adaxial leaf surface variegated. Flowers erect. Bracts present; light red; early caducous. Calyx bright red; cucullate. Corolla orange; urceolate. Fruit a globose translucent black berry. Photographs of this collection are with John L. Clark (UNA). SEM sample #35.
