Habitat Description: Vereda forming headwaters of igarape. Canopy dominant is Mauritia flexuosa. Seepages along topographic depression maintain substrate saturated year around. Water level flucuation relatively stable (< 1.5m) where Mauritia flexuosa dominates. Plot #321. Open, sunny habitat recently burned.
Soil Description: Saturated organic soils. Peats to approximately 2m
